Incident involving Cameron high pressure accumulator (follow up to safety flash 03/05 item 7)
Further to the details provided in IMCA Safety Flash 03/05 (Incident involving Cameron high pressure accumulator) regarding high pressure accumulators, IMCA has been advised that this incident investigation is still ongoing and that the information concerning this item should be treated as an interim alert. Upon the completion of the incident investigation a revision to this safety flash will be issued.
Pending the release of the revision, we are asked to emphasise that maintenance which involves the disassembly of these high pressure accumulators must not be conducted without first contacting a Cameron representative or Glenn Chaisson on +1 713 939 2928 for further information.
