IMCA supports record-breaking Ocean Business event

Published on 25 April 2013

Once again, IMCA has been involved with Ocean Business and this year the event has been a bigger hit than ever before. Our new Chief Executive, Chris Charman, our Membership Co-ordinator, Michelle Killington and our Technical Advisers, Nick Hough and Neil Evans were present over the course of the three day event to discuss the work of the Association, answer people’s questions and meet prospective members.

On Tuesday 9 April Chris Charman presented ‘Managing risk together – IMCA’s role’ at the Blue Economy Conference, held alongside the event, which highlighted the combined need for maritime knowledge and what industry and government are looking to achieve over the next 3 – 8 years.

On Wednesday 10 April Nick Hough presented ‘An introduction to guidelines for the management of peripheral survey sensors’ as part of Offshore Survey 13 Technical Conference, which runs hand in hand with Ocean Business.

IMCA continued its support of Ocean Careers too this year, which remains an integral part of the event. The event continues to grow and there were a record number of people through the doors this year. For more information see: http://goo.gl/jt2ZR
