Risk based assessment of cylinder internal examination periodicity

This document sets out a risk assessment to provide clear direction as to acceptable intervals for the internal examination of cylinders.

The risk assessment is managed and reviewed annually by the UK Diving Industry Committee – a stakeholder group set up to inform the industry of technical, safety and regulatory developments in UK diving. The risk assessment is managed and reviewed annually by the committee. Its contents are in line with UK regulations and advice from the Health & Safety Executive.

A number of annexes are included covering different sectors of the diving industry, including a ‘commercial offshore’ annex sponsored by IMCA.

IMCA supports the committee and is pleased to make this document available via its website.
