Background<\/h4>\n\n

In 2020 IMCA launched an App-based continuing professional development (CPD) scheme for diving supervisors.<\/p>\n\n

The App incorporates the latest in training techniques to support diving supervisors in keeping up to date with current information and guidelines from IMCA.<\/p>\n\n

As\u00a0diving\u00a0supervisors\u00a0sit in a safety critical role,\u00a0an effective\u00a0means of\u00a0ensuring\u00a0they\u00a0keep\u00a0abreast of changes\u00a0in industry\u00a0good\u00a0practice and guidance is essential. \u202f\u00a0\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n

From 2021,\u00a0CPD\u00a0becomes\u00a0mandatory\u00a0for\u00a0IMCA diving\u00a0supervisors.\u00a0\u00a0All those\u00a0who wish to maintain the validity of their\u00a0diving\u00a0supervisor certificates will need to undertake appropriate CPD and satisfy IMCA that this has been done. The IMCA CPD App provides a platform to facilitate this.\u00a0<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n\n
