Lifting & Rigging
Our aim
IMCA helps to identify and manage the hazards associated with offshore lifting operations through the work of the Lifting & Rigging Management Committee. This work is central to our industry as lifting forms part of almost every offshore and subsea operation.
Our activities
The committee focuses on reviewing existing and producing new guidance when appropriate. We are also involved in reviewing guidance documents and standards of other industry bodies. We produce briefings and alerts, and review the competency and training requirements of those personnel key to providing safe and efficient lifting operations.
