International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (OGP) RP 471: Oxy-arc Underwater Cutting Recommended Practice – Feedback required
- Course instructor qualifications are too vague and do not reflect a real competency measurement to be gauged;
- Established periods of course minimum time are too regimented and should allow for flexibility, so training providers may adjust for logistical reasons;
- Utilization of open water training should be considered for those training establishments that do not have a tank;
- Topside cutting practice can be a challenge, due to regional fire prevention and air pollution restrictions.
